"I want to attack the darkness!"

I'm still interested in roleplaying with API.

But we need a DM / GM to do so!  :tantrum:

If NOONE ELSE wants to do it. I think I could.... :sweatdrop: I cant guarantee I'd be any good at it...and you'd all probably die in the first encounter.... :sparkle:

I'm a bit tempted to run a game, but I'm unsure if I could deliver.

"Okay Hiro, you hear something rustle in the bushes behind you. Make a perception check."
"15"
"You notice something sticking out of the bush. I'm not saying it's tentacles, but its tentacles."

Anyone else looking forward to 5e?  I played 3.4 and 4e for a while, and 5e seems like its going to be a nice balance from the little we know about it so far.  My group is actually running a gestalt campaign right now where we are doing a homebrew combat system using cards.  This is the first one we've done in about a year though.  I miss playing every week.

An api session would be awesome, but it would have to be over skype or something.  I've never really seen forum based tabletop gaming work.

I'm working on an RPG system that might work quite well over a forum actually. But it's just a concept right now, nothing anywhere playable.

I haven't been following 5e, but I hear it's a lot less "offensive" than 4e was. Then again, everyone who disliked 4e either gave up on new editions already, or jumped ship to Pathfinder, so their voices aren't exactly being heard anymore.

I didn't really dislike 4e, you just had to go into it not expecting an upgraded 3.5.  4e turned DnD into a more videogame like experience and could be pretty fun if thats the campaign style you wanted to go for.  3.5 is still highly relevant though.  5e so far is looking like a really nice medium between the two, my dm sent me the files for the rulesets and classes that were out so far and i can email them to anyone who wants them.

@Royalkitten not a whole lot, it was a leak.  Looking over it again it turns out theres only one file, i thought there were a couple more though.  When i see him again on monday ill ask him if there were or if i'm just misremembering. Here's the file.  The new character sheet layout is really nice IMO.
enjoy~ :cheer:
