Secular Governments have killed plenty of people, friend :)

t. stalin

Yeah okay mate that's one example of an "atheist" killing some people.
What about literally every other war out of any time period?
Reminder it was good-hearted Christians that nuked civilians.

So many times it's just religious zealots and their "GOD WILLS IT" bullshit that motivates armies.

Fairly certain Hiroshima and Nagasaki weren't religiously motivated.
Neither was Hitler or Imperial Japan.

>implying there's such a thing as guilt when we live in a deterministic reality
>implying God won't just absolve me of my sins anyway lol

Stalin killed a lot more innocent people than the crusaders and hiroshima and nagasaki did.

A LOT MORE

Especially considering the Crusades were literally a reactionary movement because of muslim attacks in Iberia.

Regardless, War is a human folly, not a religious one. Religion isn't some all-powerful force for good for me, but humanity would war without it. Wars are declared with religion as a factor, but there are plenty more wars declared purely with political and monetary gain, spite, and revanchism as causes.

Ofcourse most war isn't related to religious reasons, I'm just pointing out that the vast majority of wars were put in motion by people who are religious, not secular, muzzies being a good example

I really don't think it counts much unless the war is declared for religious reasons.

This. Now that we're in a secular society, wars still happen all the time.
War happens irregardless of religion.

How are we "in a secular society" when most people are still religious, including most politicians/leaders

And even if you consider that we are, wars are happening because of inshallah mudslimes more than anyone

The point is that whether or not the populace is of religion, church and state are fully separated in most 1st world nations.
