Don't forget, drinking cold water will also make your body turn up the internal thermostat. Just drink it at room temperature.
or hot shower
if you take a hot shower or bath everything else is going to be colder when you get out
if you take a cold shower or bath everything else is going to be hotter when you get out
Finally someone who gets it. People always take cold showers after working out but a warm one would be better!
Actually...
1. Cold causes your body to start heating up to make up for the temperature drop... which is done by...? Yes that's right, burning calories. If you're seriously working out you'll be eating a lot of calories. Staying cold is a good way to get rid off excess calorie intake.
2. Hot water opens the pores, cold water closes them. If you just take a hot shower you're opening up your pores and letting all the filth that's washing off you right into them. Always go cold -> hot -> cold to wash off surface filth, open the pores and get them cleaned out, then to close them again. And wash top to bottom.
