Well, you manged to record something. I still haven't figured out how to record midi in a DAW. Frankly, I haven't really been trying. I just set up some syths and make this face . It's fun.

That's pretty neat. Sounds like in a video game, you're like near the end and in some sort of factory and everything is crazy.
