PTA is legit one of the best active directors in the world right now.yeah, the master definitely seems slightly more mundane than twbb. it's less of an epic and more of a character study, but the plot is definitely interesting, and there's more than enough weirdness going on to keep me engaged. plus philip seymour hoffman and joaquin phoenix playing off eachother is a beautiful, beautiful thing. some of the best acting of their careers, easy
There Will Be Blood is my favorite of his, though I haven't seen The Master yet mostly because the premise of it didn't immediately interest me. I'm sure it's a dang fine movie though and I will get to it soon enough.
I watched Enter the Void once when I was deliriously tired and I am positive that is the only way to experience that movie correctly.i hated that movie and shut it off 30 minutes in. i don't know how something could be so boring, and i was high as fuck
Favorite movies - Gattaca, Contact, Clean,Session 9, The Ballad of Jack and Rose, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Kairo, Blade Runner, One Hour Photo, Inception, Enter the Void, Oldboy, Eternal Summer, Never let me go, Children of Men, I am Sam, XXY, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Hook etc etcgattaca is the illest, dude
I enjoy films with themes on incestual romance, futurism and mental illness.
Last night I downloaded this Japanese horror movie called "Roommate", idk it might be good so I might watch it later.
But it's fun to be a big nerd.the highschool football team disagrees. :rain:

I watched Lego the Movie last night. I really liked it, as someone who would play with Lego almost daily as a child for hours.
I'm looking forward to that new David Fincher film with Reznor on the soundtrack, Gone Girl.status update: it was excellent in basically all regards.

I talk about the scenes and characters and no one ever tells me to shh because they think I will smash them.
and anchovies
Fuck yourself, anchovies are great. They add the perfect amount of salt to a pizza.Fuckin
Fuck yourself
Anchovies are pretty great.
Never had anchovies, pretty sure most places here don't even offer them. They're salty, right? Might be tasty with some chunks of feta, sundried tomatoes, and maybe some bacon for savoury flavor on a bed of mild cheese.
Me and my little brother saw Ted 2 today.
It's the worst movie I've ever seen, and I hate myself for giving Seth my money.
Every joke is a reference to weed, popculture, or a swear.
And it has some really bizarre my little pony and transformers product placement.
I genuinely enjoyed the first Ted. It was a decent coming of age sort of thing about a guy who had to choose between his adolescent desires and the "adult" world. But I was also 16 at the time.
Why would you voluntarily watch anything that has Seth Macfarlane involved?
Oh, speaking of pizza
just so you guys know, the best pizza topping, hands down, is salami. 200% better than pepperoni.
Thanks to my friend @Pomfwall Riots for the tipon all those years ago
may he repst in peac
Actually the best pizza topping is pizza rolls cause I'm an American and if you disagree we will fucking bomb you.sage-like wisdom....

Gyros + Jalapenos + Fries + Garlic sauce = Tasty pizza
Gyros + Jalapenos + Fries + Garlic sauce = Tasty pizza
Entire gyros on a pizza?
Is this like Japanese Pizza Hut where they put everything they can find on a pizza?
My favorite pizza is Thread derailed.
Just saw Fury Road. I'd give it a Shiny and Chrome out of ten.
I don't like Fury road, it's a bad Mad Max followup. If they were planning to have it be a random offshoot with no continuity to begin with, why call it mad max?
Oh well, good effects at least.
Please explain your opinion

What?
Fuck, I want some gyros now.
So your complaint is just "it's not like the originals and doesn't follow their continuity"
I think that's a decent argument for personally not liking the film.
-They chose to write it as "Gruss vom Krampus" instead of "Gruß vom Krampus" which I thought was odd and unnecessaryThe special symbol for double s is less and less used. In school they teach us to write ss every time.
I'm watching Star Wars in 20 hours.
Very, very cautiously excited.
I know it will be better than the prequel trilogy no matter what. But I got a bad feeling about this. (dohohoho)
Kind of a bummer though that I'm watching it while still recovering from my eye surgery.
But this is how it has to be, to avoid getting spoiled. :plz:
My one complaint is the REALLY ODDLY FEMININE LIPS THEY'VE GIVEN CHEWIE AND I COULDN'T STOP NOTICING.(https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/12/Sigmund_Freud_LIFE.jpg/426px-Sigmund_Freud_LIFE.jpg)
I found it funny how they intended Phasma to be the new Boba, but she does nothing.
Instead some no name storm trooper is the new Boba.
It really is a shame since her design and voice are so perfect.I found it funny how they intended Phasma to be the new Boba, but she does nothing.
Instead some no name storm trooper is the new Boba.
Fuck, that pissed me off so bad.
I hope he comes back, harder, faster, stronger, and better than before.I like to think he pops up to fight Finn at the most inappropriate times.

So what's left?
SO. There's a new Alien movie, set to release next year. Technically a sequal to Prometheus but still, super fucking pumped. This is my excuse to finally sit down and watch the rest of the series as I've only seen the first one. I loved the first one and the second always looked cheesy in a fun way. Just DL'd it and watching it now.

Alien and Aliens are the only good one, 3 is barely passable with the right cut
My review, copy/pasted from Facebook:
Thoughts on Batman VS Superman:
I seem to say this a lot, which casts my status as a prophet into doubt, but the movie surpassed my low expectations.
All the acting was on point, including the much discussed Batfleck, and my personal point of contention, Gal Godot, most famously cast as that chick who walks in slow motion in the Fast and the Furious movies. A highlight is Jesse Eisenberg as a young, immature, but still ambitious and intelligent Lex Luthor.
That being said, the film has a problem with characterization overall, with Batman's establishment being rushed, Superman's response to the ongoing plot thread of his destructive potential being delegated to mostly a single scene, and most condemingly, the personal and ideological differences between Batman and Superman (ie, the main reason one would create a film called Somebody VS Somebody) being criminally underdeveloped. That said, one of the most critical parts of this arc, ie, the point in which these characters reach common ground, was handled quite well.
Aside from that, I'd give the ever condemning label of "adequate" for the film's plot and cinematography. Being based on established comics, it doesn't do much which hasn't been done before, has bizarre tone and pacing issues (the opening minutes of the film are a series of unrelated "sad" scenes that, placed in succesion, cripple their own emotional impact by the time they've run their course.) In addition, the three ongoing major plots of the film take a considerable amount of time to become intertwined, and there was a surprising lack of action scenes or escalating action. While I'd normally be fully in favor of a film not compromising its storytelling for inane spectacles, the writing on display isn't quite at the level it needs to be to carry the film in this fashion.
Speaking of action scenes, the same, sadly, can be said of the film's cinematography, despite the considerable merit Zack Snyder has displayed at them in the past. While the film mostly avoids Man of Steel's overproduced spectacles, the action scenes are all rather basic and, again, "adequate," barring a few standout exceptions. In addition, the pacing of the film is dragged down by bizzare surreal sequences that add little to the plot, B plots that have middling or inconsequential payoffs, and overall an uneven sense of pace. That aside, the film did manage some well produced moments, and some highlights that suggest greater potential for future films in the DCCU.
Overall, We won't crucify you yet but be better dammit/10

bad review the movie sucks
That review seems contradictionary.
>The film barely develops the ideological conflict that is the basis of the whole plot, the characterisation was bad, the pacing is bizzarely poor, the subplots never payoff, and the action was dull
>Adequate movie, 5/10
must be the weed lmao :laugh:

Having a beard is deemed unprofessional in my line of work and I'm not a fan of stubble.Don't worry bro, he's probs just there for the sheep like any regular, upstanding New Zealander.
Swinging back to the topic my friend invited me to go Zootopia I'm not sure how I feel about this. It also feels like hes hinting at something like hes a furry.
the directer of this movie is a sadistic little shit that got a boner seeing Leo freeze to death at the end of Titanic
