Last week was just learning their cloud platform but the learning material was just riddled with errors and impossible to progress through so it didn't look too good for us interns. Also we're kind of isolated, there's only one other developer in the building who's there regularly, and he's quitting. So it's like, we can't show off our skills or anything and it doesn't look like it will change going forwards. Major bummer considering the point of being there is to show why you'd be a good hire and maybe get a job.
Also some other developers did come by Friday, which I talked too during lunch, and things seem kind of... messy, in regards to their big, bread winning project. Don't think I can speak about that though. But I'll say it didn't make me excited to actually work there.
Buuut, this week, we we're told to make a chat bot you can talk to and for bonus points, get it to do things when told to (like look stuff up in a database or connect other web services to check on stuff). That's going pretty well. What's super cool is we get to use their neural network AI for it.
2018 will be the year I make waifu software using this technology I tell you
