do you really get a noticeable improvement by overclocking your processor?
all ive done are stress tests so far to test the stability, its actually kinda fun just to see what you can do
itll probably make some applications like racing sims and photo editing a bit snappier but i havent tried those yet, and my pc is still running cool so why not have the extra speed

So I can buy computer parts at unit cost now because of my new job. I just need to tell my boss what I want and he can get them in. Too bad I don't really need anything but it's a handy perk of selling computer related things.

processing sends instructions to the serial port that is connected to the arduino the arduino is programmed to interpret them how i like im using the FastLED library thats designed for addressable led strips like this one (WS2812B), the library writes the instructions to the leds

wooow
Been having some issues with audio + video, so I decided to update my drivers. Well, the realtek audio driver I got seemed faulty, because after installation my audio stopped working as soon as I lowered the volume down because it was set at 100.
So I grabbed another installer from their site, with the same name, but double the size. And that one got caught in some weird loop!
First it uninstalls the current driver, asks for restart, then installs the new driver and asks for another restart. BUUUUT.
When the installation resumes after the restart, it goes "oh, you already have one of our drivers, let's uninstall it before installing the new driver"
I sat through 6 reboots before I cancelled it :sweatdrop:
Audio is working this time around at least

I like how blue switches kiiiinda sound like a typewriter
maybe an electronic one, but we also have a real mechanical typewriter
the noise is the hammer hitting the ink ribbon onto the page, this is much much quieter
maybe i should do an arduino project where I turn it into a usable pc keyboard

So my cooler and all my hard drives died while swapping out a noisy (possibly dieing) psu. I tried re using the old cable for sata power. No worries I had a back up on my router... Nope it was corrupted. Looks like it was just the partion table or the file list thingy that went poof. With some finagling, I've got it it back. On the bright side I've replaced all the drives with faster components.
