While I thought the first ep of PTE was fun it wasn't great. The 2nd ep I think was a big step in the right direction tho. I really liked this ep, especially the first skit and the slight variation in the second half got me good.

I definitely wouldn't call it millitaristic
There's no millitary left since most people are dead
In fact there's not a single fire fight in the show, although the gun does come in handy

It's more about the two girls talking about life and discovering elements of the old culture that died out.

Pop Team Epic is an adaption of the comedic slapstick 4koma by the same name, primarily centered on making fun of pop culture, written and drawn by Bkub, who famously drew a lot of Touhou fan comics revolving primarily around a certain Touhou character. Making him especially famous and loved on 4chan
