ECH. There is no index.... Looks more fluid than other editions though. Never played 4e though.  :lazy:

I might run something for you folks but I'm terrible at GMing despite that being what I generally end up doing.

I'd want to flesh out Dawn more, this setting I've been working on slowly for years. Basically it's a magic-heavy fantasy setting on a nearly tidelocked planet, where most life happens between the light and dark sides of the planet, and dawn comes once every month and burns away most life and all magic that isn't protected. The light part of the planet has vast cave networks where some civilization exists, but is mostly very dark and has lots of. The dark side of the planet is an ice jungle where the density of magic sustains life in absence of heat and light.

I'd probably run it in Savage Worlds or something, I don't know. Dawn has been kicking around in my head for a very long time.

That sounds familiar! Did you ever post about your setting on /tg/?

Very interesting either way. I wouldn't mind playing in it.

Nah, I wasn't working on it on it during my /tg/ days. I'm not surprised you've heard of something similar, because I'm sure I stole it from somewhere but it's been so long I can't remember if I did. It's an on/off affair.

Anyone else looking forward to 5e?
3.5 was  :poh:, 4 was , Hopefully 5 is fun. I prefer Pathfinder to either of those two though

Play by post generally needs participants that thrive on detail and work best with crunch-light systems.

There's always options for how.

The hard part is deciding on a setting, system, and of course, who will run the campaign.

Personally, since there's no one who's super excited to be a game master, maybe we should look into RPG systems that don't have one, instead of forcing someone into it.

As for setting, people seemed to be leaning towards Cyberpunk and other more 'modern' ones in the old thread.
(I still think Cybersokyo is a great idea, of course not everyone likes Touhou so that might not be as great an idea as I think it is  )

Ming, I enjoy your "Cyber Gensokyo" idea. But it might be a bit hard to set up, without stepping on headcanon toes and things like that.

My alternative idea for you is to come up with a setting idea that is Cyberpunk oriented, but with some sort of tweak that means that the protagonists are all cute girls. Even if it's a bullshit reason like "Only girls under 21 can see the DODECAHEDRON  AIRWORMS that take over people's brains." or something.

If you want to chat and bounce ideas off someone, let mek now, and I can join the IRC and PM with you.

As for the DM thing, that's a bit dicier. I have some experience, but I'm not 100% sure how it'd work on here.
