I've heard a lot of people admit that they'd kill themselves' when society will crumble, but I think it's just a waste not to act out on many opportunities. When everything's going to hell, having a piece of land outside of civilization is bliss. And what I'm getting at is that homesteading is the only stable way to survive in this case, even in the most extreme example, going around looting doesn't last forever.
I'm sure it's a downgrade from being a NEETprincess, but extreme cases call for extreme measures and if you're set up early, you can have electricity(thru solar panels), which also means anime and other 1st world amenities.

Here's how a guy (check his channel!) built a house for 2000$ only (excluding glass for windows). He also managed to add a well, solar panels, solar composting toilet and lots of other useful stuff. Even by now, only thing he pays for is land(?) and propane (little).

That's basically my plan except I'd probably steal an RV also, so I can have a mobile house.
