My computer died yesterday, either from a power outage, or it caused the power outage.

I've dropped it off for diagnostics/repairs, but it might be up to a month until I get it back.

I'm writing this from my old laptop which typically dies shortly after boot (GPU is toast and will overheat at an incredible speed, the driver keeps crashing as I write this even).

So if I go away for an extended period of time, it's because of no functional computer. I'm not leaving or anything.

I'm not gone just yet Momo!  :wink:

To my incredible surprise, this old thing did manage to stay alive all of yesterday without dying even once. But the fans did began to sound like a half of baby animals wailing, and a half of demons screeching.

I'm pretty sure I'm pushing its limits just by using the internet and watching video. I'm going to slowly try and see if I can play games on their absolutely lowest settings with nothing else running in the background.

Talked to the service people today. They'll check it out today, get back to me about how much fixing it will cost before the day is over, and then I should have it back ASAP.

I'm 99% sure they'd forgotten all about it until I went down to ask them about it.
