It just got real cold all of a sudden, so come by this thread to warm up before going out into the world of cold and despair.

I've never really cared for fireplaces that much.  Fires are a great outdoor thing in summer and fall though!  I just can't wait til i move again hopefully in december and have space to set up my kotatsu again.  Kotatsu are the true winter love.

How am I supposed to clean up ash anyways? I tried vacuuming it up with a shop vac and it passed right through the filter and got every where.

I've never even heard of a fire shovel before.

Never heard of a coal shovel either. Speaking of ashes, I've haven't been emptying my grill,  just putting moar charcoal over the ashes and old charcoal.

A dull tool is an unsafe tool, go get it sharpened.
