Title: how would you survive if you actually made it to Gensokyo?

Let's say you wander through the barrier, and make it to the human village.
What would you do to earn your food?
I'd love to learn magic, but I'm not sure I could. It seems like the sort of thing that everyone would do if they could.
Realistically, I'd probably just become a farmer. I'd like to continue my education on the side though.
After working a long time I'd start up some sort of business.
The fairies are stupid, so there has to be some way of tricking them into giving me free labor.

Become a magician! (likely by asking Alice for guidance at first)

I'd sustain myself by trading some 21st century things I carry with me to Rinnosuke in exchange for some basic tools and seeds.

I'd then build my own cabin and hunt and farm to survive and study magic whenever I can forever. Until I can perform abandon food and sleep at least. Then it's NEETlyfe forever. After I use magic to become the little girl.

I would try to befriend Marisa and try to convince her to teach me how to magic.

I would also try to date her but that's not linked to my survival. :kyaa:

1. Do odd jobs for basic sustenance and a tent.
2. Once that's taken care of, make my way to Rinnosuke's and offer to appraise his items for small compensation.
3. Save up for a small computer and a crank/solar powered generator.
4.Make my way to the Scarlet Devil Mansion, and introduce myself as a man posessing lost, exclusive knowledge from beyond the boundary.
5.Once I've talked my way into the mansion, present the utility I can offer Remilia, being sure to emphasize the exlcusivity and status it would bring her.
6. Begin making myself useful by archiving and indexing Patchoulli's library, studying magic in my own time.
7. If possible, convince Remilia to make me her ghoul. Making me dependent on her, but greatly enhancing my potential power level and survivability.
