I'm not going to put up a fight

I'll get two days off in return anyway

Plus, I don't see much point in arguing since I'm just employed for 5 more months. And 1 of them, December, I'll be spending a lot of days on sick leave because of surgery. So it's like, 4 months of actual work left.

Not to mention, on November 1st I become entitled to benefit money from my union incase I lose or quit my job (with a good justification ofc).

Which I have. If I don't get my 50% sick leave renewed, which runs out by the end of this month, I can just go 'well, I can't do this full time, so I'll have to quit and find another part time job for the sake of my health'

And there you go, I'll get enough money each month to live until School starts in August/September, while being a NEET!

Edit: Unless I choose to start uni in January. In which case, I could quit in December sometime, after getting my acceptance letter.

Being loyal to a company like the one I work for, is like shooting yourself and the tax payer in the foot.

You shouldn't be loyal to your employer. :table flip:

You're not in a familial or friendship relationship with him. You're in a business relationship. It's not like he makes a sacrifice by giving you a job, he makes money thanks to you. (thus saying he "gave" you a job is maybe not exactly the good word)

So if you think your best interest is to leave him, there's no reason not to. He wouldn't hesitate firing you if the economy asked for it.

Anyway that's how I view it.

The trick is not showing any sign of it before you hit your boss's desk with your resignation letter.
