The new "pay import fee when ordering on Ebay" things. It costs much more than the actual import fee. 
Now if I want to order something from an American seller who sells worldwide I still have to use a proxy service like shipito in order to avoid paying way too much for the thing. 
Chinese and Japanese Ebay seller are truly the best.
Maybe this is related to why I don't see certain things? I have never even seen this. I used to be able to select either Japanese Yen or US Dollars on the search preferences page, but I can no longer see items with JPY prices.
I love shipping forwarding services. They are a great way to say "frig the system" I think. I have had a lot of... eh, "fun" things sent to me through shipping forwarders that I would otherwise not been able to get.
