« on: August 28, 2014, 10:53:17 PM »

Anyone playing this? It's very addictive! I loved the one on gamecube/dreamcast but I love this even more.

They just added episode 3. Anyone want to play with me? I'm on ship 2 of the JP server ^^

let's talk about pso~  :yay:

I have no idea because I've only ever played the JP server. Probably the SEA servers as they are fully translated to English.. you can get a patch for this one but it doesn't translate everything. However if it's anything like other MMOs I've played they might get updates later on - don't quote me on that though since I'm not sure but for example it's like that with Tera.

But if you play the JP server you can play with me!

I would play on whatever, but I'd feel bad holding Miau-chan back with a low level character :owh:

Yay!  :yay:

Pretty much just follow this guide, http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=210236

Go here, http://arks-layer.com/

Download the English Installer, once it's done then install it then run the PSO Tweaker also found on that site

Apply the English patch with the tweaker and that's pretty much it

You will have to make an account on http://pso2.jp/ too but the first link will show you how

It seems complicated but it really isn't and if you have any problems with it just ask~

also if you get error 107 go here http://pso2proxy.cyberkitsune.net/bluepill/

@bubblecat thankfully they made it so high and low levels can play together, there's no sort of penalty with the exp or anything

also you can switch classes (and sub classes) at any time so I could always just switch classes to level up one of my lower ones, but again that wouldn't be an issue anyway

Yeah! You can switch between sub and main classes at any time (except you don't get a sub-class until level 20). You can switch between like 3 weapons (later on you can use more) but, I'm a force so I use magic but when my PP runs out I switch to my gun/sword or my bulletbow while it recovers, it's kinda cool like I'm 3 classes in one! It doesn't really limit you~ and you can have a mag which does stuff for you as well (mine heals me) and its stats are added onto yours. They just added episode 3 which added a new class which uses a magic sword and/or boots so you can fight by like kicking or something.. they added a casino too! And a new world! The new world seems based off medieval Japan. The boss fights are the funnest part imo though. But overall I just like the atmosphere and the look of it. And the combat! And the character appearance is really customizable and you can change eye color/hair style/accessories, etc anytime (some stuff you can't change without paying though like hair color). And you get your own room too! And they have lots of events and concerts!

that's probably a benefit of the jp version over others is that you get updates first and all those cool events I imagine..

I'll play tomorrow, hopefully we can all get on at the same time sometime

and if so, is it actively enforced?

All I know about PSO2 is that you can play as a robot.

And that's amazing.

I'll look into it some more before I start downloading things.
