I found it extremely boring. To get the job I had to have a clean record and a driver licence. I was the bottom of the barrel so to speak, if shit went down I was instructed to flee and call the elite guys to come beat up things. My only weapon was a pepper spray.
My first job was to get sure some painting wouldn't get stolen overnight. To do so I had to, and here I more or less quote my order, find a spot were I could see them all and not leave it.
Thankfully it was only 4 hours long. You're not allowed to sit.
I had to keep an eye on prisoner who were at the hospital. This was the best job because you could sit down and read/browse the web with your phone. I usually did it from 23h to 7h, I was really tired after that.
Worst time was when I worked nighttime 5 day straight at a huge festival. Basically I had to get sure no one went on my side of a huge curtain separating a nightclub and a scene where there were still expensive audio stuff. Getting people to listen to me and do as I said was hard. Also the music was very loud and shitty (considered going on the other side of the curtain and spraying the DJ once).
Sometimes people get angry because they have forgotten their pass and you don't let them in. They call you stupid or useless. I didn't mind so it was OK but you're not allowed to retaliate.
I didn't like working at night, it was too tiring. Also I had trouble when I had to have authority because I'm shy and a little bit of a pushover so I was happy when I left the job. TA is much better.
