I've been working on a wave based FPS with RPG elements whenever I can since late 2021. Some work was abandoned due to technical issues in 2022, but hey.

Think a little bit Killing Floor, a little bit Vampire Survivors, and a lot of Borderlands for the general idea of the plan so far.



It almost looks like a video game if you squint really hard.

I didn't make that gun model by the way. It's a placeholder from opengameart.

What's more complete is the design document, which has a general overview, character bios, 12 skill trees across 4 characters, and descriptions and design references for 4 player characters, 6 enemies, and 3 bosses.

The moodboard and design reference folder was at around 400 images by the time it was done, and I'm working with someone who actually knows about stuff like art to get some concept art, and maybe usable models.

I wanted all this done before the end of last year.

So, hey, talk about the stuff that keeps you up at night! Get validation! Stave off the guilt from posting on API instead of working on it!

Trying to take my projects seriously while working a job where I have the responsibility of a senior dev, the paycheck of a junior dev, and the headache of 10 years of code made by questionably competent, definitely overworked devs.

But it's good experience for when I move on to better things. I hope you princessii are living deliciously.

Have you gotten a chance to play around with it yet? It's a very powerful tool when it comes to programming because it can quickly summarize things for you and give relevant examples better than anything I've ever seen. You don't even need google or stackoverflow anymore. I recommend everyone to give it a shot!

No clue. Always ran an Nvidia GPU and AMD CPU because they were cheaper.

There should be open source drivers for AMD cards. Maybe look into them?
