First week of work: Done.

I feel like crap though. So little sleep, and I'm the polar opposite of a morning person. It's awful getting up at 5am, my previous bed time.

Work is very easy luckily, it's a bit strange how everyone there is as tall as me... when I'm sitting down. These little old ladies reach up to my nipples.

On an unrelated note, it was too cloudy and gray to see the solar eclipse here. All I could see was that it got a bit darker, as if it was evening, for about 20 minutes. One of this magnitude only happens every 24 years according to the radio too.

Why am I missing out on all these heavenly phenomena :sad2:

I forgot there was a solar eclipse.
Why do they need you up at 5 am?
Isn't it just shelf stacking?

I had my first assessment quiz today. I got roughly 75% on it, which is acceptable.

That sounds more dangerous than the mosquitoes.
Bring a gas mask then.

No idea why we have early mornings. It's pointless.

Depends on the size of the store. When I was working at costco, we had 2 shelf stocking crews. One started at 10 PM, the other at 5 AM. We also had a periodical "big" stocking day. One time, they didn't get it done in time, so they called a bunch of people off the front to come help. At one point, me and a manager were basically throwing hams onto the shelf.

Shit was nuts.

Not even a store. We're some sort of middle man service that assemble goods shipments for other companies.

The solar eclipse began at 9:30 and reached his peak at 10:30 (AM). It was nice. I expected it to be more dark. Turns out the sun is bright enough even when he's 78% hidden by the moon.

I stopped at a restaurant with my mum and brother. And the waitress didn't do a good job. She spilt a drink and didn't clean it until a while later after wee said something about it and then she refilled my mum's lemonade with water.  But, she was super duper pretty. I ended up giving her a tip regardless of the service .

I made it in one piece, if anyone was wondering. Took me 21 hours because of some detours.  I took no naps , and now I'm not sleepy for some reason. :eee:

When you don't sleep, your body resets.
But then you feel really tired later.

And tipping is a silly way of paying people.
Catch up Amerilards.

Naw. But there is some stuff for sale cheaply that for one reason or another isn't going to be shipped anymore.

Sadly we only deal in textile goods like pillows, towels, curtains, rugs, etc. Might be a bit more interesting when it's time for me to move out though.

Making a daki sized pillow would be easy though, by combining some smaller ones with the right width.

Just need scissors to open up the seams, and a needle and some thread to stitch things together.
