Dear diary,

Today I went to an all you can eat buffet with my dad and stepmom. There was a fat black guy at the table next to us who was asking one of the employees for a straw. My dad leaned over to him and dropped the incredibly clever joke: "hey if they don't give you a straw, just tell them "that sucks!"" to which he was completely ignored and left with an awkward silence. My stepmom then started putting entire steaks in plastic bags and stuffing them into her purse. While leaving my dad kept smashing the car alarm button on his keychain while yelling "Help! I'm being raped, help!" these actions confuse me as there was no alcohol involved. I won't be doing this again in the near future.

(Also, the mental image of an old man standing around screaming that he's being raped to no one in particular as his car alarm blares away in the background had me cracking up for a good 2 minutes).

Buffets are great in the sense that I can do stuff like put nacho cheese on a slice of pizza.

Not to mention the above, but I'd love to go to a Golden Corral some time.

Golden Corral is exactly where I went. The food was ok but all I could think about was how much I wanted to wash my hands constantly every time I grabbed the tongs. Also it was so packed that I just gave up on entire sections because the lines weren't even moving, but I assume that's just because it's Sunday.

Do they do this often?

Well my dad is certainly a jokester, but he usually keeps it to himself and doesn't involve the public, so it was a bit strange.

Buffetts can be okay but Golden Corral is garbage, even by buffet standards.

And another thing...

I've been to buffets with a chocolate fountain before. The way it works is that you hold your little strawberry or whatever under the cascade, but he seems to be implying that it's normal to dunk it in the pool, which sounds really unsanitary.

Chinese food Is probably the only buffet I'll willing go to, and when that's rare.

Pizza buffets can be okay but it's pretty much never better than just ordering a pizza, which I can eat at home with anime.
