Find art that you like and totally steal it. This goes for any medium. So like, for examle, say I watch an anime or something and I really like the art style, I'll find an image of my favorite character and freehand a copy of it, by doing so you get a feeling for how the artist kind of did it. Then I usually draw in that sort of style for a bit with different things, maybe drawing that character in different positions and other characters, and then I take everything I like from that and incorporate that into my style. I don't even know if I'm answering your question anymore. Uh, just look everywhere for that stuff that inspires you and find that thing that makes you go "God damn I suck, I wish I was that good" and then copy the fuck out of them and eventually start making it your own. That's how I go about improving, anyway.

2 specific anime related examples I can think of that really did this for me was Akira and Serial Experiments Lain.

Oho, loving it. The title (Factory Grounds) fits it very well.

Another WIP for the soundtrack. I needed some more upbeat stuff so this is what came out.

I hope I'm not the only one here who's a fan of Science Ninja Team Gatchaman....

Well ages ago I started doing a ps1/early PC-esque midi type cover of it's theme and picked it back up and worked on it a bit tonight!

You are.

It's in my backlog though.

The track sounds nice, as expected at this point.

Damn  :gloom:

Well thanks guys!

Alto, Ming, you're going to love it. It's literally just a sentai team as a 70's anime!

Also, watch the dub cause one of the head bad guys has a hilariously underwhelming normal dude voice.

Just finished a long day of recording with the jazz group I'm in! It was fun but I'm ep1 wiped.

Here's the setup we nigger rigged that worked pretty well, I think.
