I'm not killing myself because I'm excited about the future.
It's the fucking  future! 

The future back in the 80s (aka our present) was going to be super cool.
They were gonna have hover cars, and holograms and space travel and mecha.
But they got it wrong.
But that's okay because it means that this time's for sure!
The future is gonna be HELLA awesome.

I desperately wish real life was like GITS or pyscho pass or some other futuristic detective anime. I wanna be an android and maybe frig an android babe, so I am holding onto life until I realize it's impossible

just waiting until that, or they stick fiber optic cables in our cerebellums and we can live out realistic fantasies and simulate all sensations that we maybe don't even know exist. Can you imagine if they could replicate the pain and anxiety of death in a simulation? Maybe you would want to live knowing by first hand experience how painfully it would be?

When you're dead you have nothing. Even of living involves a shitty pain/happiness ratio I prefer this over not existing at all.

Things that make me excited are the new discoveries in neuroprostetics and surgery. Maybe one day we'll be able to morph into touhou !

Fibre optic brain vr sounds cool though.
Eventually I think we'll all be plugged into that, whilst robots take care of us.

I'm gonna be studying about BCIs on my free time this summer. I'm hoping to do some sort of cool EEG project in my last year of uni

During my master I'll be able to take a lot of courses involving prosthetics you can control with your brain. It really feel like in my sc-fi books!

I actually used a brain computer interface once when I was getting tested for adhd. You had to concentrate on moving Pac man forwards.
It was cool, but it felt really inconsistent.

While we're on the topic, have you guys seen the body augmentation already going on? Dunno about other countries but in America it's been happening underground, mostly in shifty tattoo shop basements right now. Last I heard all they were doing was putting a magnet under the fingertip. Functionality is super cool though limited right now, but it's a big step in an awesome direction.

My reason for not killing myself is... well I've said it before, but I don't really have reason to live, but I don't have a reason not to live either. I think a lot of people are like me in that regard.
