i started overclocking yesterday and i got a shitty 4.4ghz overclock yesterday on my 6600k, took 1.3v to get it stable

:grr:

on the plus side i got to see what my h212 can do and its keeping it ice cold, still getting below 30 idles and high 60s on load with this oc

do you really get a noticeable improvement by overclocking your processor?

all ive done are stress tests so far to test the stability, its actually kinda fun just to see what you can do

itll probably make some applications like racing sims and photo editing a bit snappier but i havent tried those yet, and my pc is still running cool so why not have the extra speed

I'm using the 6600k and I got up to 4.6ghz around 1.3 when the chips first came out haven't changed it since.
I did go higher but didn't like the Temps. :owh:

I like my room to be dark, so I always cover the windows or put the cases against the wall so no light bleeds out.   :owh:

I always have my lights on when gaemu because sitting in the dark is bad for your eyes

I tend to compromise and just dim the lights instead of playing in the dark.
