Being a NEET is scary IMO.

What will you do when you reach 40 ? What will you do if, when you reach this age, you realize you're not happy and want to find a job ? What if you change your mind about having a gf and have to look decent to find one ?

I couldn't cope with those feeling.  :plz:

That's easy. You realize you'd only be trading your current misery for another form if you become employed, and that a gf, employed or not, is still out of your reach.

Yeah but if you're employed you can at least pretend you have a chance. :tears:

Working is fine, I think, as long as you work part time and the tasks are simple.

The real jam would be finding a way to get paid to do what you love.

(I'm still trying to figure out what I love  )

Working at 80% would be the dream. :sparkle:

I don't have a hobby or a passion I can sink lots of time into. Even when I work hard all the day at my uni, I still end up wasting too much time on pointless thing on my computer. On vacation I spend most of my time wandering in my home without any real goal. I'd just die of boredom if I lived like that for more than 3-4 months I think.

At least if you work hard you can climb the corporate ladder and then look down on the scrubs below you.

Maybe I'm just lucky to sort of like what my future job will be about. :poh:

As a NEET you can look down at the entirety of the working class scrubs which is much more gratifying.

Still do not understand people who get bored in the year 2015.

Yeah but you won't have as much power as an executive. Plus you get to bully your subordinates. :yay:

Because of inability to set goal and/or accomplish thing if not pressured by a hard deadline and/or the fact you're fired if you don't do it.

Some people want responsibilities. You can't get huge responsibilities if you're a NEET.

Not having a huge interest in things.

The accomplishment of wasting your life to attain some arbitrary goal you can brag about, grats I guess.

Everything in life except breathing, eating and drinking is an arbitrary goal. You can maybe add  reproduction to the list.

This pressure give you motivation to do something, that's the important point. If I feel I haven't accomplished something in a while I become depressed.

Work doesn't make you (always) do what you want but at least it makes you do something.

Also if we look at it from a higher point of view if no one worked we'd be in the shit.
