the Art of Procrastination: or How I Failed JLPT N3
« on: November 28, 2015, 09:59:02 PM »

i consider you guys good friends so im going to let you in on a little pearl of wisdom. i see ya'll doing the cute little japanese thread, with the kanas and the entry words.  well im here to tell you to STOP.  TURN ABCK.  leave this language before its too late alrightie? you dont wanna be like me, spending 4 hours everyday learning some gook language and yet still have no clue how to read most runes. you have to go, just go, dont be a slave.  live free as NEETs without care, leave the japanese language to the martyrs, the saints, the well-to-dos.  LIFE should be SPENT on consuming media, not this.  Not bettering yourself, not learning a different culture, not texting 6.5-7/10 11 babes for jap lessons.  it should be spent sitting on your @** playing videogames and watching the 'me

please heed my warning

This is wise advice

Japanese sounds cute and fun in your anime but it requires a ton of knowledge to be really understood. You already know you're not gonna speak it unless you live in Japan right?
What are you some kind of NEET with unlimited time to do whatever you want?
Of course you are!
but who the hell wants to be doing homework during play time  :ew:

I'm considering going and starting a business in Japan exporting JDM parts, if it turns out I'm too dumb to be a mechanical engineer.

Isn't German supposed to be harder?
I hear that the grammar is really complicated.

German is pretty easy, at least if you already speak a germanic language.

finocchio di merda!

Felt strange reading this thread because I'm going to literally fail the JLPT N3 next week. :nyoron:

Turns out subscribing for the exam wasn't as motivating on the long that I thought it would be.

I'm letting myself until the beginning of the next academic year to learn Japanese then I'll switch to a more useful one, like German. And probably study to get a C1 in English so I stop making silly grammar mistakes and conjugating irregular verbs wrong.

Go and try it anyway. At least you'll feel less nervous next time when you're ready, since you already know the procedure etc.
