I just finished playing Va-11 Hall-A. It's a VN without erotic scene and such where you play a bartender.
The story is really nice. There's probably multiple way to take it but I liked it as the story of someone in her late twenties looking back at her early twenties and wanting some closure.
When I talk with older people I always get the feeling that those years had a pretty huge impact on their life, or are always remembered as more important than the later years. So those kind of story always leave me troubled, disturbed and maybe a little bit sad or anxious because I feel like I'm not living my early twenties exactly as I want and I don't want to end up as a bitter adult who can only find sorrow when looking in his past.
Despite the game sometimes feeling heavy for me, I enjoyed it a lot and got plenty of fun out of it. There's a lot of tasteful references to somewhat obscure meme and anime (even one to Gochuumon wa usagi desu ka?) and the characters are very likeble and nicely fleshed out.
