I was, am, kinda thinking mechanical engineering and then going into robotics but I'm one of those

I'm not sure why you'd go to university to learn art though. Lessons probably help, but it seems like the sort of thing you could learn on your own, rather than get swamped in tens of thousands of dollars of debt. I don't think you need a degree for art, but rather a portfolio.

Nobody studies art for the degree really, it's for the time you can spend on your art instead of having to work all day.

On a broader topic, I feel it's better to try your luck at something you like and maybe land a job in a sorta related field than grind something you don't like during 5 years of difficult studies and then get stuck in a corporate job you hate.

Then again if you don't like working anyway you might as well get well paid for it.
