What is Salty Bet?

It's a stream of all sorts of AI controlled characters fighting each other, 24/7. And you can place bets with fake salty dollars on who will win.

-Always bet on 2hu
-Always bet on DBZ
-Always bet on the loli
-Always bet on KAMEN RIDER
-Always bet on Melty Blood

Whoa, this is still going? It was a fun distraction for a while, but the character the majority votes for almost always wins because they know all the broken characters, so it got dull real fast.

Saltybet is a qt.

Salty bet is fun but whenever I watch I just end up actually wanting to play fighting games and then I feel all torn.

It's making me want to play too. But getting into fighting games seems tough.  :damn:

It's not as hard as it looks
You just need to learn a few button combinations, and the fundamentals of the genre.
After that you just play a lot.

Fighters are easy. Just takes some research, a lot of practice, and being okay with being bad for a while. Cause you will be, for a while.

Another big part of it is finding out what kind of fighters you like cause few people like all of them. I, for example, am not fond of 3D fighters (i.e. Soul Caliber, Tekken, etc.) and I'm not really fond of games that have block buttons (I'm looking at you Mortal Kombat).

A lot of people I feel don't take this into consideration and try one fighter they dislike then drop the whole genre.

I've no idea what type of fighter I like. But I've been meaning to try Melty Blood (so I can play as best Shiki), and the Touhou ones.

Touhou fighters are a bit on the casual side so they may be a good place to start. I dunno if anyone here plays fighters or even wants to buy I think I'll make a thread for it in about half an hour.

Hisoutensoku is a good start, even if it doesn't represent the genre.
Fast paced and simple inputs
