Eheh

I made a cake alright but I messed up the decoration AND made too little filling (my homemade peppermint buttercream, very tasty!).

Knew I shouldn't have been in the kitchen today

Pics later

I can't ever think of a better present, happy birthday mingu! :sing:

This is the best! Thank you Apostle!

I've been planning this since a half year ago :kyaa:

>peppermint buttercream

It's either delicious or disgusting. Given Ming's country, I think it's the later.

It's really good. Promise! It tastes exactly like any peppermint candy you'd find in a store but it's got a creamy consistency. Works incredibly well with chocolate, and this was a chocolate cake.

Pic related, it's the buttercream:

It's got a little bit of butter in it, cream, sugar, peppermint extract, and white chocolate.

Fully assembled cake, with my terrible decoration attempt because I forget where my sieve is so all the floured sugar is in splotches instead of a smooth even cover + I forgot to drizzle the sauce after the sugar rather than before and yes I am very anal and upset about this:

It was delicious. I have a lot leftover though because the only people to treat are my dad and lil bro.

I'll make some friends next year okay!

I like wacky acts, don't worry Apostle

He hates most stuff but my cakes he usually likes. (As evidenced by him always sneaking slices from the fridge and asking for seconds)

I had a look in the fridge a wee bit ago because I wanted to take a cross section picture and there were barely anything left

Also, izzat some fondant I see?

Jelly now. That's probably better than most cakes you'd buy around here.
