And my Siamese refugee mother married my Taiwanese father, who made a killing preparing databases and servers for the y2k thing, apparently being very knowledgeable about computers. With his fortune, he tried to build an indoor pool in the basement. Note that there are frequent hurricanes and storms on the East coast, so the basement floods frequently.
Then, when I turned eleven, he just disappeared.
