Why didn't they do anything? Did they just shrug and figure you'll do it after you're back?

Well my boss is a old dog who doesn't want to learn new tricks and does everything in his power to do nothing.  The other workers don't bother with doing anything because they just do the same thing as the boss in the end.

Actually, better question: How come nobody hired you yet? You're a hard worker, it sounds like. Have you been sending out letters and stuff?

4 months of flat rejections.  No one wants someone with management, accounting, import/exporting, networking/server skills!  At least no one wants someone younger than them to cover a management role.  I also tend to overpower people with confidence that most people I talk to lack or don't have enough of so I end up taking charge very fast.

I guess places like that still exist in the world, yeah... Four whole months though, with such a wide variety of experience? You could be working anywhere. I wouldn't be too surprised if you could shoot for something abroad, even. Sorry to hear that you didn't manage to find anything yet.

It's always a shame when people have to say it, but if your current line of work becomes even more unbearable you might want to consider shooting a bit lower than you deserve and trying to get yourself promoted internally. Shouldn't be too hard for you...

I may move out of where I am and down to another town which might make things easier or worse if I'm still unable to find anything.

Ahaha... well, you certainly don't give off the feeling. That's already a good sign!
Try checking whenever you can find a job in a new town before actually seeking a place to sleep in the area. Most employers are flexible enough that starting a month after landing the job is acceptable, and that's plenty time to arrange something. Moving in and then seeking a job is a bit too high-risk, but then it's really motivating, so up to you really!

Pretty much my mother offered me a room if I wanted to try move out of the city and to a more laid back farming town that she works and  lives in. Sadly the only work I know I can get would be mostly seasonal sheep sheering.  It's six hours drive from where I am now so I would rarely see any of my friends again which is a pretty big negative for a social devil like me.

It's always some honest work to fall back on, more than a lot of people can claim to have.
Being cut off from all your friends would be painful no matter if you're a social devil or not...

minimum wage just went up a little bit this month so I'm only 0.25cents above it. I was being taxed 35% of my hourly income for over 6 months when its meant to be 17.5%.

No.  They counted me as having two jobs since my wage was half coming from work and income and the other half from my boss.  So I had to pay full secondary tax as if I had two jobs.
