Bust out those CRTs and blow those cartridges! Time for some talk about classic gaming!
Personally as much as I like playing games, i find a lot of the newer ones just dont hold my attention like some of the older titles. anyone else find themselves still hooking up their snes / genesis / atari / ect. and playing some of their old games from time to time?
Personally I try to make a yearly play through of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the 7 stars, and often find myself replaying games like yoshi's island, Megaman x, rogue squadron, and others even when my backlog is already huge
-
I sold all my old consoles and games.
:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
-
soukyugurentai on the sega saturn is the best game of the 20th century quote me on it
my saturn gets more play than any of my other consoles

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?! :frusterated:
-
I wish I had a nintendo instead of the genesis :sweatdrop:
-
why was yoshi's island so good
i think the first game i ever played was altered beast
-
I never beat the first level of altered beast.
:owo:
-
I've never played altered beast, but is it comparable to lion king for snes in difficulty?
-
I want to get a turboduo but they are $400-$600 used on ebay :poh:

It's a port of an old quarter-eater Arcade game, so it's unfair
-
:yay: Beyond Good and Evil!!!! :yay:
-
I still have my SNES and I still have a small collection of games for it. Zelda: Link to the past, Yoshi's Island, a mario or two, Urban Strike, Doom Troopers and a few others I can't remember and am too lazy to get up and check.
Zelda aside, my favorite SNES games were Spiderman: Maximum Carnage and Illusion of Gaia; the former having been stolen from me and the latter having been broken by siblings.

I had a Sega Master System. It was too cool :sparkle: Space harrier was really fun. I also had lots of DOS and PC games, Hocus Pocus, Jazz Jackrabbit, all that neat stuff. Icewind dale is good too. I know i'm forgetting a ton of stuff but there's so much I played back then.
Favorite Genesis game is Ranger X
-
Quake 3 Arena for life, baby. Quake Live doesn't have the same charm but it's still a pretty tight game.
-
Have you guys played Beyond Good and Evil????? its fucking great! :sparkle:
-
Heard good things, but I haven't.
-
i picked it up on GoG after only hearing great things about it for years. sadly its burried somewhere in my backlog... ill try to get to it soon though thats a lie, i know i wont
-
I brought it on steam its really funny though i must of played over 500 hours of it but didnt even get past the first place hahaha this is when i was a kid and then i got further than ever in like 2 hours.
-
Its really funny how when you're young you can spend such a stupid amount of time on something and not make any progress. Iirc it took me over 6months to beat ocarina of time on my first playthrough because i was having so much fun with it. Now i can beat that game in a night when i want to play it.

LoZ is amazing. :heh:
-
one of those ps1 demo discs was the only game I owned for a few years. I got real familiar with tekken 2 and 2 xtreme.

I didn't have that many games for my PS1.
But I had like 30 demo discs.
:nosebleed:
-
That's how I got mine~
-
My older brothers use to buy the playstation mags for the demos. I have all of the old cds still in my room still.
Ah, demos in magazines. Those were the days.
I remember one that came with a trailer for MGS4, and being in awe at the graphics.
What happened to joy?
And as for classic games, I submit Legend of the Dragoon and Threads of Fate for the approval of the council.

I have a SNES, Sega Genesis, ps1, ps2, gameboy advance SP, Sega Game Gear, and plenty of games.
