Unless you're in Alberta. My dad dropped out of school and worked rigs for 15 years before deciding to get his GED and a degree.

Is that still an option though? I thought it became harder to get jobs there

Pretty much. You learn certain trades there.
This guy was learning networking, some computer thing.
According to a mate of mine from hs who went to tafe with him, literally all he did was listen to vocaloid and read manga in class.

that's all I did too except it was listen to vocaloid and play videogames on my laptop but i realised I had to hand in something in 3 days time and scraped a pass on my graphic design course after 3 days of not sleepong
