Technically it's a sentai/tokusatsu trope that anime borrowed.

I have an enormous boner for Kabuto and it's armor purging henshin gimmick. Base forms are all bulky, but by removing the armor they become all sleek in their design and let's them move at extreme speeds.

If we're talking more classic sequences I adore Black's the most


It's been tributed in a fuckton of anime, primarily the posing pre-henshin

But I know Kill la Kill for example took both the color scheme for Senketsu from Black as well as the letting out smoke part of the transformation.

A really well done henshin sequence can make me tear up. These Kamen Rider Black and Kabuto sequences are getting to me tbh.

Also thanks Ming for reminding me to watch Black or literally any Kamen Rider cause god it's been a while.

Finishing up ep1 rn. I'm really enjoying it already. Kotaro looks like Kaneda to me. HE'S SO CUTE OH MY GOD.

I figured, but I've seen the original series and he's handsome but nothing to write home about and from the videos and images I've seen of the newest series they all look like your standard k-pop boy band, but Kotaro has this whole bad boy with a heart of gold look to him.  :kyaa:

But honestly it felt a bit redundant to me
The original show wrapped everything up neatly, and in only 12 episodes
Nagisa was completely fucking pointless. Remove her and nothing changes except Shaft makes less lolibux

If it's a new season anime I sometime only give him 1 episode or even 10 minutes, if it's really bad.

But usually I go for the 3 episodes rule.
