Lockheed P-38 Lightning

The P-38 Lightning is an ace of a plane, one of the best the US had to offer. Called the "Fork Tailed Devil" by Germans, and the "Two Planes, One Pilot" by the japanese, the P-38 was one of the most effective planes of the war, piloted by the highest-scoring US Ace, Richard Bong, who killed nearly fiddy tojos.

 :laugh2:

Unlike other American Planes, the P-38 was the only fighter plane in active production during America's involvement in the war, from 1941-1945. It was incredibly quiet for a plane, with it's exhaust muffled by it's super cool Super-Turbochargers~. It was also extreeemely easy to use, surviving mistakes that would destroy other planes. Charles Lindbergh himself even killed a slant-eyed jap while flying one!

With a 20mm cannon, 4 50 Caliber Machineguns, and room for either loads of bombs or rockets, it was a force to be reckoned with. It even caused a staggering amount of friendly fire! This baby is pure, unadulterated, manly beastmode sexy, unrestrained by the bounds of "common design practices"!  :kyaa:

I love you, Lightning!!

Planes are cool, and dive bombers are best.
But I have to say that everyone knows ships are 100000x better then planes.

Shipfu comming through to revive the thread!

it's been a while and i'm not as good as I used to be, but today I want to spotlight the Horten Ho 229. It was a 'flying wing' jet, and although it was only a prototype, it's very cute, isn't it?

It's a german design, and sports a stylish insignia. It was designed with anti-radar capabilities. Also it's so cute, right?

It would've carried 2 30mm cannons and lots of rockets, and would've been what is essentially the first stealth bomber in the world, and it's one of the first jets!

I love you, Ho 229
