Total freedom, or even freedom in se isn't necessarily good.
A strict moral life dedicated to a higher cause is the greatest blessing. This regardless of the religion one might practice.

For some the peace of mind and direction many organized religions provide is a great boon to their psyche, something 'no religion' often fails to produce easily.
