Does anyone else find it strange to think that next year will be TWO THOUSAND AND SIXTEEN?!?!?!
We're living in the goddamn future.

Video games don't even look that good.
At least VR is coming along nicely.

We actually have flying cars.

But they're pretty much just tiny planes with 4 wheels

Flying cars are too dangerous anyway.
I would be too scared to drive one anywhere.

How and where do they land?

The ones I've seen work like a Harrier plane. Meaning they lift straight up vertically with no need for a runway.

I really hope we manage to extend our lifespan greatly before I die. My biggest fear is to die before we manage to do it. The worst would be to die a few year before it becomes available to the public. I'd be mad forever.

More on the subject the fact that my younger sister is entering high school this year makes me feel very old. The fact than the other one finishes high school this year makes me feel like that too.

Fuck, my mom is going to die eventually.  :owo:

Imo the best outcome would be to be the last humans alive to witness the end of the modern world.

Instrumentality soon.

Really, not only is this type of scenario not really feasible, it'd probably cause an economic crisis, and subsequently be outlawed.

Nuh uh.
It'll be rough for a decade or so with rampant unemployment.
But it'll all be fine once we get robots making and maintaining robots.

Edit: I really fucked up that qoute

I really hope we manage to extend our lifespan greatly before I die.

I think the most realistic "great increase" in lifespan our generation may get is synthetic grown organs that are readily available, for "cheap". Organ failure is pretty much what death is all about.

If we had enough organs for transplant to go around, everyone could in theory just replace everything before it even gets "old" (assuming they can pay for it all, hehe). Of course you can't just replace the brain so... assuming optimal nutrition, proper rest, exercise, and so on, maybe we can get to live almost twice as long as previous generations?
