The /djt/ thread on /a/ has a lot of very good resources: even Japanese subtitles for your favorite anime!

Take Kim is nice and compact but for learning I suggest using Genki instead. The pace is slower so you don't end up reading too fast and forgetting everything and they provide exercises to go with the grammar subjects.
