what show gave you some sad feelings
I was watching love live the other day and I was on the episode where the girls are preparing for their first concert. they were so excited but when the curtains pulled up the place was empty and I couldnt control myself the tears were flowing :sad: :sad: :sad: :cry: thankfully the girls pulled through!!
have you guys experienced something similar with anime?

Seconding Clannad.
I've cried to a lot of anime. My former favourite anime (now dethroned by Patlabor) Kara no Kyoukai is one of them.

Ping Pong had me emotional at some parts like when Smiles was spending his birthday alone. :sad2:

I hate ping pong. Oh I'm sure the anime is great, but like, the actual sport made me hate anything that relates to ping pong.
It was a big pastime in middle school. And I was really bad at it. It was a great embarrassment for me. No matter how much I tried I just couldn't do it.

Madoka Magica made me cry like a little bitch I'm not at all ashamed to admit that. Uh, other than that, Space Dandy made me tear up here and there, I think the only episode that made me actually cry was the dog one though.
Also I cried at the last episode of Azumanga Daioh cause it's my favorite thing ever and it was all over and they were all going of to college :sad:

Graduation episodes like that always make me feel sad. The high school arc in Humanity has Declined really got to me. The bit where the yandere loli starts crying when the protagonist leaves killed my heart.

It makes me cry because the amount of animation in the ED is pretty much equivalent to the amount in the actual show. :cry:
bullying LOGH fans about the shows flaws is the most rewarding thing because the fanbase is so fucking delusional, RIP hiro
I love LoGH but I wholly agree with you. By anime standards it has depth, but it's not up there with War and Peace. The battles, while entertaining and unique, have dumb tactics. No one takes advantage of space having three dimensions, and treat it like naval combat. Yang's not smart, his opponents are just dumb. Also it's hard to feel any tension when the characters are making constant quips. I still love the characters and the way they interact though.

Oh I do to, it's still in my top ~25 regardless. on top of the things you mentioned I also feel the way they set up a lot of the deaths in the series was predictable because they suddenly start focusing on these 3rd rate characters beforehand to try and get you to sympathize with them before doing the deed, it's emotionally manipulative writing at its worst. The big one in ep. 82 I will say was very well done though.
