Japanese Snacks, Food, Drinks, Etc.
« on: April 10, 2016, 02:59:32 AM »

I think I might have found my "drink". Well, apart from beer, obvioiusly.

not my hand btw
 :love2:
This stuff is awesome. It doesn't have an overpowering alcohol taste. There's just a hint of it.  It's mostly like juice. I had been always temped to try it when I saw the big sized bottle at the supermarket, but it'd seemed like a risk to spend that much on something I might not even like. But I went out of town and made my usual stop to the Japanese supermarket/ bookstore for snacks and stationary supplies and saw they had these little single serving size umeshu. So I bought two and they're the best thing ever. I'm definitely going to get the big ol bottle to keep in my fridge next time I go to the supermarket.  :laugh2:

I got some shokupan (stereotypical running toast), I'm looking forward to making french toast with it.

:taiyaki:
Also taiyaki isn't that good, it felt like I was eating an old stale waffle with refried beans mixed with sugar. It might be better freshly made.

Everytime I go past some kinda japanese mart store I randomly buy some drink.  Most of the time they are nice but my friends always seem to get really bad tasting things when they randomly pick.

I lived near a Korea Mart. It's an acceptable substitute.

Consumption of sugary drinks and candies can lead to obesity, diabetes, and many other diseases.
